St. Luigi Scrosoppi

 

   I was born August 1, 1804 on Udine of the Italian Republic.

   I had three brothers and my father was a jeweler.

  I became a deacon in 1826. I helped my brother at an orphanage in 1829. I helped build a bigger orphanage in 1834, it was finished in 1836. I joined the Oratory of St. Philip Neri in 1846.  

   I lived in Udine, Italian Republic.

   I followed Jesus by helping to build an orphanage and opening a school and home for deaf mute girls.

   I served my priest brother Carlo and deaf, mute girls.

   In June 10, 2001 I became a saint.

My feast day is April 3 and I am the patron saint of soccer players.

   I died on April 3, 1884 from long illness when i was 79.
