The early history about colorado is very amazing. There are many native american tribes like the pueblos. There is also the first non-native american which is Francisco  Vasquez de coronado. The major events are civil war, columbine high, and world war two.

First People

The first people were here about 12,000 years ago. These people gathered berries, roots, and nuts that they could find. They also used wooden shovels to gather berries, nuts, and roots.  They hunted megafauna for meat. Used sharpened stones for knives or spearheads. They used a throwing spear called an atlatl.

The next native american tribe is the pueblos. They lived on the colorado plateau in the bottom left corner. They were here 100 BCE to 1300 CE. They farmed corn, beans, and squash. There main meat source is turkey. They gathered fruits, nuts, and roots. The pueblos made a lot of pottery. They were amazing architects, they lived in big two-four story rock buildings.

The Utes were also a intriguing native american tribe. The utes lived in the north to the south of the rocky mountains. They lived from 100 BCE to the late 1800s BCE.  They lived in wickiups made of barb grass or branches. They ate corn, squash, melons, gourds, and sunflowers. For meats they ate buffalo.

The most stunning is the jicarilla apaches. They lived on the east of the great plains. They lived from 1300 CE to 1500 CE. Bison is there primary resource, they used the meat for food, its skin for clothes, and its sinew for sewing. They hunted with bows. The bones were used for pounding or grinding grains into flour.
